For a long time Hamburg has been a blank spot on the map of international street art and urban art scene. This fact is going to change this year. In early october the KNOTENPUNKT Festival, organized and curated by Affenfaust Gallery, will make the city of Hamburg to a meeting point between urban art and new contemporary art. Last year, the festival attracted more than 3,000 visitors to its premiere and delighted the motley audience of urban art-lovers, art connoiseurs and art collectors. More than 50 international artists will be exhibiting in the Hanseatic city from 2nd till 5th October 2014.
In a former industrial building on the Kolbenhof in Bahrenfeld, the art will be displayed and offered for sale on three floors and on more than 850 square meters of exhibition space.
This year‘s KNOTENPUNKT Festival will already open up in September by a spectacular side event. Within the „Mural Kick Off“, internationally known urban art artists will design several house walls with huge mural paintings, which will have an ongoing impact on the townscape of Hamburg due to extensive art. The KNOTENPUNKT Festival repositions Hamburg onto the international map of urban art.
The Knotenpunkt14 – festival starts with a Mural-Kick-Off in september.
